There have beenTanka and Haiku , kinds of poem in Japan  from ancient period..

The form of  Tanka has 5characters, 7characters, 5characters (upper part)

and 7characers, 7characters( lower part).

Haiku has more short form, 5characters, 7characters, 5characters only.

We express deep thinking, nuance or imagination by the less words.

So, to understand the meaning of words exactly in Japanese, we need to be able to imagine the meaning of

the space between words.

The less words, the better...

We who are Japanese feel beauty and have a pride in less words.
